The S Family

I might be in love with this family. Such a beautiful family and so sweet! We did not manage to get a family photo, but they live just 3 miles from me, so we’ll run get a family photo that rocks on an evening when the littlest one is happier about the camera. She was tired the day we took these :) Big sister was totally into hamming it up for the camera, however, LOL.

This image was photobombed by Max the Cat. I love it anyway.

Baby Fiona

This was the other surprise of March – little girl here decided to show up on her sister’s birthday, while I was out shooting a wedding! The family is soooo cute and everyone is head over heels for the new addition. I can’t wait to do a sisters shoot, one of these days!

These shots were taking when Fiona was about 24 hours old.

These were taken a few weeks later.

I can’t wait to get my hands on this little doll again. She’s so cute and sweet and awwwwww <3

Sisters & Cousins

I did a shoot a couple weeks ago with a set of sisters. Their cousins were along for the ride and I managed to sneak in some shots of them too :)

Their Mom makes tasty, pretty party cakes too… if you need one and are local, lemme know and I’ll get you her info!

R&A

March went out with a bang :) The first being my friend R’s wedding. Yes, I shot a wedding, even though I said I would not do weddings. But, this was for an old friend, so I made an exception.

It was a beautiful day. The bride did an excellent job picking venue and decorating. I had a great time being part of their day. Some highlights:

While I don’t intend to do anymore weddings, I am honored that I got to be a part of R&A’s day. They’re an awesome couple and I’m glad to see them find each other.

Poor Neglected Blog

I’ve neglected this blog a bit recently, my apologies! I’ve been very busy. Expect a small flood of posts here shortly while I try to catch up.

So, were to start… let’s start with food, since I’m hungry right now :)

I’ve started working with a local restaurant to help showcase their food items. I did another shoot today, but here are a couple flyers we made from the first shoot. So far, I am enjoying this line of work! Food is much less wiggly than people ;)

I’ll have to send up some pics of today’s shoot, once I get it downloaded. There were some really tasty salads on there today! I’ve also discovered the joy of a cannoli. Life will never be the same :)

Little baby T came to visit me on Saturday. She’ll be two months old tomorrow! She was very much not in a photo mood, so we’ll be trying again in the Spring :)

A little taste of her cuteness:

The “why are you messing with me?” face. I have to post it, because it makes me laugh :)

Ninja!

My sister got a new hair color the other day and we felt it was a perfect opportunity to climb thorough the woods with a sword and camera.

Note: Yes, that’s really the color her hair turned out and yes, that was the goal. We’re loving it!

Cousin M’s Family

I went over to my family’s farm on Sunday to take some family photos for my little cousin.  I still can’t believe either of us are old enough to have a kid! Her family is beautiful and they were a joy to shoot :) Here are some highlights:

October Mini-Sessions!

October Mini-Sessions are here!

What is a Mini-Session?

A mini-session is a short, quick session of under 30 minutes. They’re perfect for time crunched families!
Why do a Mini-Session?

Mini-sessions are a perfect introduction to lifestyle photography. If you’ve never had photos done anywhere other than a big box studio, then a mini-session is for you! They are also great for busy families and those times when you just need a handful of pictures, such as those needed for fall greetings, back to school, and holiday cards.

What is going to happen at the October Mini-Session?

We’re going for a fall theme for the shoot! I’ve teamed up with two local farmers – one is granting us use of some beautiful land to shoot on and the other is setting us up with an array of beautiful fall accessories. We’ll have tall stands of tied corn, Indian corn, hay bales, pumpkins, and squash to accessories our shoot! I’m also bringing some quilts. We’ll have two photo areas – one set up with the fall scenery and one with a quilt and picnic basket.

How do I sign up?

Email me at the address above to get onto the list! Slots are limited. We will try to have another mini-session day in November for Christmas greeting cards.

I emailed you, now what?

I’ll get back to you with availability and your time. In a couple days, I will send driving directions to the farm. It is easy to find and we will have balloons to help guide you. I will ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time, if at all possible. We are tightly scheduled and I’d like to be able to move right on to your session so we can spend the full time with you! Arriving a little early will also allow children to work the kinks out from the car – I know how antsy you they get sitting still for so long!

Still have questions?

Send me an email! I’d love to work with you :)
